Haunted House
This date is pretty thrilling. Depending on the haunted house you go to, you'll both be running around in terror. Now some of you are probably thinking oh sounds fun. While others are thinking oh great a real life scenerio of one of my nightmares. Some people love haunted houses; some people dread them. I would advise finding out whether or not your date likes them so you don't scar them for life with nightmares about the haunted house you guys went to. If you really would like to go to a haunted house for a date and the person you were planning on asking doesn't like them you can always just find somebody else that does. This date is great because it's exhilerating. It makes the date exciting and can be a good bonding experience. If you go to the right haunted house there's really no way you could screw it up. Because there's no way to make it dull and boring, everybody will have a good time. Golfland offers a haunted house near halloween time. It was pretty decent, but cost a lot for only about 20 minutes of haunted house. I strongly reccomend this date for anyone looking for a little excitement.

Ice blocking
Ice blocking is probably one of the best dates I can think of. It's original, creative, active, interactive, humorous, cheap, and exhilarating. It doesn't get much better. The set up is simple you get some drinks in a cooler and go to a QT to get your ice blocks. You also need to bring some old towels and i would wear some older clothes. You then go to a hill. There are plenty of hills in the parks around town; Freestone's hill is pretty good. You put the towel on the ice block and slide down the hill on your ice block. After you get the hang of just staying on the ice block by yourself you can then do creative fun ways such as making a train with your date and any other couples on the date, you can go down side by side, you can race, you can go down backwards, you can have one person go down backwards and one go down forwards and hold hands to stay connected. The last ones very difficult by the way. The point is there is almost a limitless amount of ways you can go down the hill so it doesn't get old. This is one of my favorite dates strongly suggest trying it and taking a fun active date on it.

Big Surf
Big Surf is one of the best water parks in all of Arizona. They have a wave pool where you can actually surf on the waves. This is by far the best feature of Big Surf, but they also have some slides that are pretty sweet. This would be a good water park to go on a date because there aren't any lines you have to sit in if your in the wave pool. They also have an arcade, but it's smaller than Sunsplashes. Their ice cream parlor has great ice cream, especially after swimming all day. Bottom line is it's another great option for a summer date.

Howie's Tip of The Month!
Hey guys and gals, I'm Howie, professional adviser in the dating industry. My first tip is be yourself. Often on dates, I'd find myself acting like someone else that I wasn't. I did this as an attempt to impress the girl that I was dating at the time, but I often found that it did quite the opposite. The girl could always tell that i wasn't being real about myself. Even if they were impressed I didn't feel good about myself; I felt sick; I felt as if some slimy-muck-monster came and possessed my body and used it to impress the girl, but it was never me. These were the dates that, after I dropped her off, I ran back to the car and said "Thank goodness it's over." However, there were dates I did act myself. I enjoyed these dates, and the girls enjoyed them too. The girls knew that I was being true to myself, and I've built my greatest friendships and relationships with these girls. All and all, these dates were the best, so I made a promise to myself, I promised that I would never act like someone I wasn't on a date. In turn, the dates were better, and the girls accepted the real me.
So, be yourself. Amen.
So, be yourself. Amen.

Cookin

Cooking together can be a good date for those who love cooking as a hobby. If your into cooking and your date isn't you can still win them over with tasty food though. It's a good chance to work together. One way to plan it is to set up whatever your cooking such as a cake and then put it into the oven while you go watch a movie with your date. Make sure the alarm is on so you don't leave it in to long. When your done with the movie get everything together and eat up! Most people like eating so this date should work out for just about everybody.

Olympics
This date can have an unlimited amount of competitions. What you do is come up with a bunch of different activities that you can compete in. Each couple is on a team and has to make up a team name. You then keep score which couples win or lose. The scoring can be set up anyway you want it to be. Some good activities are having a creativity contest where the contestants have to make a song, poem, or story to be judged. Another contest you can do is decorating any kind of food such as a cake, cupcake, or cookie and then vote on which ones best. Seeing who can build the floatation device that can hold the most dominoes out of a pack of straws and some duct tape is an activity for some reason people don't seem to forget. Building the highest standing structure out of wire is usually one of the favorite competitions. If you have an athletic group you could play a sport like basketball or volleyball. Really you can choose whatever activities and whatever amount of them you want. This provides flexibility to tailor your specific date to the conditions and people your going with. At the end of the date you can give the winning couple a candy bar. If this date isn't original I don't know what is. You can do it different every time coming up with new activities. However it does take some thought and set up depending on what activities your planning on doing. If you get the right kind of people this date is awesome!

Bowling
Bowling is pretty classic. If you want to mix it up a little bit you can all try to come up with fancy ways to throw the ball. Bowling is a nice laid back date where you still get to interact quite a bit. There is a catch though. Most of the bowling allies won't reserve a lane for you. This means you have to show up earlier in the night to get a lane. Maybe i'm just unlucky, but the couple times i've gone all the lanes were taken so if you are going bowling without a reservation be sure to have a plan B. Other than that, going bowling can be one of the best dates you'll ever go on.

Easter Pageant
The Easter Pageant is a wonderful date. If you're both religious Christians it's a perfect fit. If somebody isn't a Christian they could still have a good time anyways. The Church of Jesus Christ puts on this huge play every year about the life of the saviour. They have it outdoors in this huge field on the temple grounds. The environment is incredibly beautiful and sometimes even breathtaking. This alone is worth going. You can also get a blanket and some food and have a picnic in the field while watching the play. It's so large you could probably get away with talking a little bit during the play without really seeming rude. It's a great play and an awesome date for Christians. Go to the link for more information on the details.
